Visual Prosthetic: 3-D Scan & Render, Maya, 2020.

A drafted 3-D render meant for 3-D printing. This glove embraces the relationship between human skin and fungi. I wanted to push the limits of what makes people uncomfortable. The repetitive pattern of pores and bulges tend to incur feelings of disgust, so I wanted to incorporate that within a human hand to show the relation between the two and thus, embracing the allure of fungi or human body mutation. The idea of mixing two natural things that are meant to be separate puts more perspective into the way each sculptural element between both objects engage with one another.
