Although varied, most of my works are based on or influenced by personal experience and interest in new media technologies. Much of my work consists of a variety of digital mediums. These include digital illustration, web development, 3D modeling, and video editing. I am fascinated by the idea of the digital world inconspicuously blending into the physical, so I like to leave a digital imprint on any work of art I create. My methodologies to creating these works stem from seeking alternate interpretations of an idea and transforming these construals with digital applications. There are two ongoing series that I am working on that engage in exploring and capturing the physical world around me and altering these scenes through digital programs.
Often, I would envision alternate versions of certain moments in my life. For instance, a moment on the swingset would put me in a world where I am suddenly in space, levitating around an unusual planet. Having the luxury of these creative systems allow me to construct these phrenic versions into distinguishable forms, to which then, a digital imprint is left ingrained into my reality. My practice is remedial, as it has carried me through personal battles and continues to do so while expanding my sense of wonder and creativity towards these observed day to day affairs. I hope to have my practice build up an archive of illusory versions of reality that embody my psyche, leaving the observers of this observer entranced and inspired by the world that she built.
